As a Marine mom this really touched my heart! As a business owner I am now doing this at all my festivals and events. Think about doing this at your schools and churches also. It is so important to show our men and women that we support and are praying for there safety and well being! I saw this on a Facebook post. I wish I knew who to credit it to! Love it! Proud Marine Mom!

By Kayla Chandler Amazing blog at : http://www.kaylachandler.com/low-carb-gluten-free-bread-recipe-3-ingredients/ Adapted from The Ketogenic Cookbook This is a great bread for lo carb, gluten free, paleo! Really great as FRENCH TOAST!! Make it and let me hear your feedback! Meet the best group of ladies!! Together we are changing the lives of so many! One thing I am so blessed with is a group that believes in giving back like I do!
As part of this group we are here to challenge, encourage, and inspire all women to dream big and create the life they deserve! WOW That hair!! This was back in January when Matthew swore in to the United Sates Marine Corp! We are learning the ropes as a Marine parent. First lesson, the Marines don't need an over bearing controlling mom LOL. They don't care that they ran over the scheduled time and I want to know if Matthew left 4 hours ago and heading home or in a ditch somewhere. Matthew's SSGT call me Momma Bear right before he says "Cool it" HA! Funny thing, Matthew told his SSGT I have trained him for the Marines his whole life with my strictness and barking orders. When he hits Parris Island in June I think he may rethink how he feels LOL. I am so blessed to have some strong friends that have been here before!! Marine Mom's stick together! This summer will be a challenge with my only baby gone but I will stay busy with projects. Stick around and I will post some. Ahhhh those sweet Georgia Peaches! In the backyard today enjoying the cool air before the heat sets in, I had to grab a picture of the beautiful sunrise through the trees and over our gorgeous roses. All the fruit trees coming in. I love this time of year with all the cold is gone and new things blooming. So much blooming in life and outdoors. Our peach tree, plum tree and goodness the roses are all loaded. As the hostas start to come in we should start having more and more visitors. The deer and rabbits last year were more than abundant. Our schnauzer really enjoyed giving them a run down HA! I would love to hear what your favorite things are blooming! Now it's time to start planning and dreaming of my backyard wonderland! Todd wants to add a brick layout and built in fire pit! Winner!! It is time to Date again! We love hanging out in the backyard! A great movie, fire and coffee and we have ourselves the best night! Our weekends have started consisting of a cookout on the Egg! Then setting up the Projector (with a few swear words) and I am not even technologically challenged. Grab drink of choice and pick out that movie.
This time of year is always our favorite it is CAR SHOW time! Most of the local towns have a little Cruise in! The picture above is from a car show on a Saturday afternoon. I love that smile! And the beauty filter on my new phone HA! I am one of the lucky ones that can say I love this man but I like him more! He has always been such an amazing dad and husband! Hard worker and has a heart bigger than Texas although he wouldn't even want you to know! Now Ladies listen up!! As much as I love this man!!! YOU Need friends! This is the time in your life when you realize you have been mom, wife, worker and sometimes may not have taken the time to be YOU! Or forgot who you were! Do you like who you are? Even as happy as I am in life I find myself asking this same question. The answer, yes, but I want more. I want to know when I leave this world that I can say I left a legacy. I am not talking about money I mean a true legacy of making a change within peoples lives. I love supporting a great foundation here in Atlanta called the Amanda Riley Foundation. Barbara Riley is the most amazing strong mom you will ever meet! Her support of the families going through cancer is so inspiring! Read up on her journey as a mom who had a daughter that had cancer and how she turned that into her journey. Click here to visit her Facebook site Amanda Riley Foundation Well it is May and Graduation is upon us! Where are my tissues! Lord skip the tissues bring me a towel!
My sweet boy has grown so much! I am telling you ladies enjoy the time it really goes quick! The little things, geez, looking back now they really didn't matter! The letters from kindergarten telling us Matthew would not sit still and sang the Scooby Doo theme song while skipping across the room to get started on his work, OHHH THOSE NOTES!! But really it was just him being him! And I LOVE him for that! He still has that same personality. I am sure going to miss it around the house! When you feel overwhelmed, just breathe and know the time is going to pass quick. Smile at them and NEVER let another break their spirit! In a generation that so easily medicates we need more Scooby Doo singers! That little singer is now going on to create a life in the USMC!! Semper Fi!! All the teachers that sent notes I should probably host a Margarita night because I know he was a hand full with 20 other boys! But, look at him now! Todd and I were talking the other night how truly blessed we were. We never had to deal with drinking, drugs or many other things. But, those little notes...now looking back WOW I would give anything to get notes again :) So many stories to tell and share! Pull up a chair and stick around! |
